Chris Arsenault the Happy Cat Sanctuary Founder and Caregiver has dedicated his life to the rescue and caring of many unwanted or cats at risk of poisoning by those who dont want these free roaming cats in their neighborhoods and has created a safe haven for those in harms way.....


Chris started rescuing cats in 2006 after his 24 year old son Eric tragically lost his life while riding his motorcycle when his throttle stuck hitting a guard rail at a sharp curve killing him. After Chris accidently came across a cat colony which had 30 sick nursing kittens scattered among boxes built by the feeders of that colony and removed all the kittens out and nursed them all back to heath which surely most would have died a horrible and slow death. It was at that point that Chris realized this was what he was going to dedicate his life to do, helping to save lives..... this helped Chris to do something to help balance out thinking of his son and believes the cats have given him a reason to not let depression or even resorting to drugs or alcohol over take his life. Chris instead now has one of the most unique sanctuaries in the country,his dedication and creative habitat, giving the furry critters the outdoor life and at the same time keeping it very sanitary for their heath.
